The Southern California Junior Golf Summits feature many great speakers and focus on making players aware of current playing opportunities, college playing opportunities, and more. In its 8th year, the summits can help juniors and parents answer many questions about what to look for when considering college golf options. The summits are open to all ages, but may be most beneficial for juniors from 9th-11th grade.
This year's summits will start with a Meet and Greet opportunity for participants to talk individually with all of the speakers and we encourage you to arrive early. The formal program will include presentations from some of the most knowledgable speakers available, who have received rave reviews from past summit participants.
There is a registration fee of $8.00 per person to attend, which includes a free subscription to the Ping Road to College Golf for each household. This guide is one of the best available resources for college golf and retails for $20. (If the registration fee is a concern to you, please contact Kevin Gigax at the SCGA Foundation.)

Here's what last year's attendees had to say about the summits
“The speakers were great. A week in the life of a college golfer was an eye opener.”
“Candid, relevant information from knowledgeable people. Appreciated the coaches’ insights.”
“It was very informative for both me and my 10th grade daughter...great presentation...all the speakers were fantastic.”
“All the information presented was very interesting and informative. Great panel of experts!”
“Not only were the difficulties of getting onto a college explained, but I liked that the difficulties of college life were also discussed.”
“Really a great presentation...covered all bases....loved it....worth every minute...keep up the good work. We will attend every one of these events...so valuable to a family with a child who is thinking about college golf.”
“The summit helped us know when to start self-promoting to college coaches. It also confirmed our belief that a positive attitude is a must as the coaches do talk amongst themselves. Also, the idea of a junior college was set forth as a positive experience as a stepping stone to a university. Finally, it was informative regarding what to expect regarding the playing schedule and fitting in academic study as well.”
